Vision Impaired & Financial Assistance in Mesa, Arizona

The Driving Forward Foundation is an Arizona-based 501C3 nonprofit organization designed to assist the visually-impaired and legally blind in states such as Arizona, Utah, and Idaho.

We do this by maintaining a list of clients and vendors, which we match based on needs and location. We also connect clients with information about the newest technology for the visually-impaired such as bio-optic glasses. In some cases we may be able to assist a visually-impaired client financially.

History
The Driving Forward Foundation was created in 2010 by Terry Kennedy as a response to the major budget cuts affecting The Department of Economic Security, a division responsible for providing financial aid and services to the blind.

We shaped our foundation around the belief that getting people with visual impairments back to work will not only improve the lives of people with disabilities, but the lives of everyone in the state of Arizona.

Our organization cannot accomplish its goals without public and private donations from people like you. We use your donation to help our clients obtain the services and tools they need to restore their vision and freedom. All benefactors are issued a tax receipt on their request; please feel free to request a receipt or call us if you would like one mailed to you.  Donations can be made directly at any 1st Bank in the name of The Driving Forward Foundation.
